St. Xavier's values the basic common discipline necessary for the smooth running of any educational institution. Punctuality, neatness and uniformity of dress are insisted upon while courtesy, consideration for others, and a cooperative spirit are encouraged. It is intended that self-discipline and sense of responsibility should, by stages, become part of every student's personal character for life. Xaverians assume the obligation to conduct themselves as exemplary students at all times and in all places, demonstrating excellence in character.

✓  Students are expected to communicate among themselves and with the office staff and teachers in English at all times except during the Indian language classes.
✓  Every student should wear his/her Identity (ID) Card at all times in the School in a clearly visible manner. In case of a lost identity card, a second one may be issued on written application and on payment of the cost price for the new one.
✓  Students are expected to be present for the school assembly. Late arrival should be recorded in the school diary and signed by the Vice Principal. Habitual late coming is unacceptable.
✓  All are expected to bring their ID card and School Diary daily to school. If they are damaged or lost an application should be submitted to the Vice Principal for replacement, and apply for replacement.
✓  Students should be punctual for classes after breaks; they should create a peaceful learning atmosphere in the class. They should remain active in the class and be regular with both classwork and homework.
✓  Students may not leave their class, except for medical requirements or if called to the office. They should not leave the campus during school hours except with the written permission of an authorised school official.
✓  Children should pass on promptly circulars or notices received from the school and communication made through the diary to parents.
✓  While waiting for, boarding, travelling by or alighting from the bus students should be orderly and disciplined.
✓  Neither in school time nor outside of it are students allowed to ride any form of motorized vehicles into the school premises.
✓  Expensive articles, like jewelry, should not be brought to school. Primary School children are not permitted to keep any cash with them.
✓  Students are expected to act responsibly towards their own belongings as well as school and public property.
✓  Students should keep their bicycles locked at the assigned places during class hours. Cyclists should not wander around in the campus.
✓  Damage to school property will be repaired at the cost of the responsible students.
✓  Students who write on or disfigure the school furniture, walls and other places on the school campus may face punishment.
✓  Students causing serious or repeated damage to school property will be dealt with sternly.
✓  Students are expected to follow the library rules. Fines are levied for breakages due to culpable negligence. A student who loses or damages library books must make up the cost.
✓  Students found guilty of stealing, tearing out pages, defacing library books or otherwise damaging library property may even be dismissed from the school.
✓  Engaging in any kind of indiscipline, bullying or violent behavior in the school campus will be unacceptable, and will call for appropriate disciplinary action.
